Here’s a fantastic recipe that children will enjoy to make just as much as they eat – Mini Chocolate JAZZ™ Apple Muffins! Using simple store cupboard ingredients, these tasty treats can be made in less than 30 minutes and are ideal for a picnic in the park or summer party. They also include everyone’s favourite apple too!
Ingredients
Dry:
2 cups plain flour
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder, sifted
1 tsp baking soda
Wet:
1 cup yoghurt
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup whole milk
½ cup vegetable oil
Other
3/4 cup chocolate chips
1 cup diced JAZZ™ apple
Method
Preheat oven to 400/200
Whisk together all dry ingredients
Whisk together all wet ingredients
Fold in wet ingredients into dry ingredients until well incorporated
Stir in chocolate chips and diced apples
Spray mini muffin tin with nonstick spray (if not a nonstick pan) or line with liners
Fill muffin tin ¾ of the way and bake for 8-10 minutes or until a toothpick comes out smooth
(if doing regular sized muffins, bake 16-20 minutes)
Remove from oven and let cool slightly before removing from the pan.
