There’s no better time than now to get creative in the kitchen with your JAZZ™ apples with the British season now up and running. This recipe is so simple but fantastic, used on its own or in a host of other recipe creations. We love it straight on some toast, but it’s equally as fantastic used in cakes and muffins too.

Makes – Approximately 1kg
Recipe cost: £4.22
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 1 hour

Ingredients

1 kg JAZZ™ Apples, peeled, cored & roughly chopped
250ml water
300g granulated sugar
200g soft brown sugar
½ tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp ground cloves

Instructions

Add the JAZZ™ Apples to a large saucepan with 250ml water. Bring to a simmer and cook over medium heat for 15 minutes, or until soft, stirring occasionally.

Blend the JAZZ™ Apples until smooth, then add the sugars and spices. Stir to combine and continue to simmer for another 45-60 minutes until the JAZZ™ Apple butter has thickened enough to hold its shape on the back of a spoon.

Leave to cool and transfer into clean jars.
