Here’s a fantastic recipe for JAZZ™ Apple Ham and Cheese Pockets which are delicious eaten hot from the oven but equally as tasty as a snack at work or school. They are also incredibly easy to make using everyday ingredients. Go on, JAZZ™ up your sandwich this month!
Ingredients
2 JAZZ™ Apples, sliced and squared off (so that they are the same sized square as the cheese slices, but thicker)
12 sweet bread rolls
12 slices of honey smoked ham
3 slices of cheddar, each cut into 4 (so 12 small slices)
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 tbsp mayonnaise
100g of butter
Salt to taste
Method
Preheat oven to 350 degrees/170 f
Cut the rolls so that they open up, but not all the way through
Stir the mustard and mayonnaise together and then spread a little bit on the insides of the roll
Take a slice of ham, place an apple square and cheese slice in the middle, and then fold over the four side. Place in the middle of the roll and gently press down so that the roll stays closed.
Begin to place assembled pockets into a baking pan.
Once all completed, melt the butter and brush on the top of the rolls.
Finish with a pinch of salt on top of each one and then bake for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Leave to cool slightly and then remove from pan and enjoy
