Ingredients

2 JAZZ™ apples, sliced and squared off (so that they are the same sized square as the cheese slices, but thicker)

12 sweet hawaiian rolls

12 slices of honey smoked ham

3 slices of cheddar, each cut into 4 (so 12 small slices)

2 T dijon mustard

2 T mayonnaise

½ stick of butter

2 tsp large flake sea salt

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Cut the rolls so that they open up, but keep one side in tact (think like an open clam)

Stir the mustard and mayonnaise together and then spread a little bit on the insides of the roll

Take a slice of ham, place an apple square and cheese slice in the middle, and the fold over the four sides of the ham.  Place in the middle of the roll and gently press down so that the roll stays closed. Begin to place assembled pockets into a 9×13 pan.

Once all completed, melt ½ stick butter and brush on top of the rolls.

Finish with a pinch of sea salt on top of each one and then bake for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Let cool slightly and then remove from pan.  Enjoy while hot! Can make ahead and rewarm or eat at room temperature.
