2 large yams – large diced
2 JAZZ™ appels – peeled and large diced
1 onion, large diced
4 cloves garlic – sliced
4 T butter
2 cups vegetable stock
2 tsp pumkin pie spice (ground cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, star anise, ginger)
Kosher salt to taste

In a large pot, melt butter and then saute onions until tender (about 2 minutes), stirring frequently. Add sliced garlic and saute for 30 seconds more. Add the JAZZ™ apples, yams, vegetable stock and pumpkin pie spice. Simmer for 20 minutes or until yams and apples are tender. Blend on high in a blender until super smooth. Season with salt to taste and then blend again. While very hot, strain through a fine mes strainer to give an extra smooth consistency and to remove any remaining chuncks (you may need to help press it through the strainer with a spoon or rubber spatula). Serve warm.
