It’s been a fantastic few months for our friends at Lions Watford Muay Thai & Boxing Club, who received a JAZZ™ Apple Foundation award earlier this year to help them purchase new equipment for their budding stars. Their star junior fighter Ellie Harber competed in the World Kickboxing Organisation World Championships in Barnsley recently and became world champion at the weight category of under 50kg, which was above her normal fight weight of 43kg. It was Ellie’s second gold at a World Championships this year but she wasn’t finished there and also went on to WKU Midlands Championships.
A huge well done to Ellie and all the team involved at the club as their hard work is clearly paying off. The JAZZ™ Apple Foundation was created to support the younger generation and get them active and moving around so it’s fantastic to see the club having so much success. The JAZZ™ Apple Foundation award the budding club received will hopefully spur more children on to follow in Ellie’s footsteps.
