The UK apple season may have already started for some varieties but with JAZZ™ being one of the later croppers, you’ll have to wait a few more weeks before this season’s sublime British specimens reach your supermarket shelves. But fear not as that doesn’t mean you won’t be able to purchase delicious, fresh JAZZ™ Apples as they will still be available from our expert growers around the globe until the UK crop arrives – just look out for them in the premium sections of your local supermarket or quality independent grocery stores.
It’s definitely been a difficult year for everyone due to the Covid-19 pandemic but we’re trying to stay positive and are looking forward to some of the fantastic celebrations and activities we’ve got coming up over the next few months and in the lead up to Christmas and New Year.
The first of those celebrations coming up falls on Wednesday, October 21 and is always a special day in the JAZZ™ Apple calendar. Yes, that’s right, it’s UK Apple Day so what better day to celebrate the beauty of British apples and the importance of our orchards, fields and nature to the country. Not only that but apples have a low GI and are a great source of vitamin C, fibre and antioxidants so are the ultimate refreshing and healthy treat. As the old saying goes, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”.
So, on UK Apple Day this year we want you to show us why you love apples so much, and in particular JAZZ™, by posting your best apple pictures on social media and tagging the @JazzAppleUK accounts. It can be of your favourite time or place to enjoy an apple, a favourite apple recipe or simply of someone you know who loves eating apples. We’ll pick our ten favourite pictures and each sender will receive a fabulous JAZZ™ Apple slicer in the post!
