Showcase your supreme sweet skills and celebrate the British JAZZ™ season with this wonderful recipe for JAZZ™ Apple Panna Cotta. Ideal as a deluxe dessert for a special dinner with friends but equally as delicious and comforting when enjoyed as a midweek treat!

 

Makes – 4 Panna Cottas

Recipe cost: £4.12 (£1.03 per serving)

Prep time: 15 minutes, plus 2 hours chilling time

 

Ingredients

3 JAZZ™ apples, finely diced, plus extra to decorate

3 sheets of gelatine

50g sugar

2 tbsp lemon juice

200ml double cream

100ml full-fat milk

2 figs, to decorate

2 walnuts, to decorate

 

Instructions

Add the gelatine leaves to a bowl of cold water and leave to soak.

Finely dice the JAZZ™ Apples and add to a saucepan with the sugar and lemon juice. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for five minutes, until the apples begin to soften.

Meanwhile warm the milk and cream until steaming but remove from the heat before it comes to a boil. Add to the pan with the JAZZ™ Apples and mix.

Squeeze the water out of the gelatine and add to the pan. Mix and remove from the heat.

Allow to cool slightly before transferring to glasses or moulds. Transfer to the fridge and chill for two hours.

Optionally garnish with figs, walnuts and JAZZ™ Apple matchsticks
