With the popularity of JAZZ™ Apples rising all the time, Asda is stocking a limited edition nine box of the special variety in many stores nationwide.
To support the launch, the first 3,000 customers to post a picture on social media of themselves at home with their box will receive a free JAZZ™ Apple slicer. For full terms and conditions see below.
The limited-edition boxes are priced at £3 each and also feature fully recyclable, made from 80% recycled materials and plastic free packaging.

JAZZ™ recently pipped Cox to become the UK’s fifth most popular apple with an all-time high retail value of £46.5million. The news from Kantar revealed that consumer spend on JAZZ™ in the 52 weeks ending 25 March 2018 rose to £46.47million from £42.17million the previous year, and a 39.7% rise in the last 3 years.
The variety also scooped the ‘UK’s Tastiest Apple’ first and second place at the National Fruit Show 2017/18, lovingly grown by Peter Chandler and Simon Bray, which wowed the judges.
The JAZZ™ Journey
JAZZ™ Apples are a funky fusion of a Braeburn and a Royal Gala. The first British JAZZ™ apple crop hit the shops in November 2007 with Greg Wallace helping grower Paul Mansfield to launch the variety in style.

Rules for the international Facebook, Twitter and Instagram Contest for participants/residents in the United Kingdom

1. General Terms and Conditions
1.1 Jazz Apple, Hungry Communications, 21 Seely Road , London, SW17 9QP, (hereafter referred to as ‘JAZZ Apple’) will award via the JazzAppleUK Facebook, Twitter and Instagram page a JAZZ Apple slicer to 3,000 residents of the United Kingdom.
1.2 This online competition is not affiliated with Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and is in no way sponsored, endorsed or organised by Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. The contact for the competition and the receiver of the information provided is not Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, but JAZZ Apple. Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are not responsible for the awarding of prizes. All questions regarding this competition shall be sent to jack@hungrycommunications.co.uk.
Promotion Period: 27 April 2018 until 31 May 2018

Prize winners will be published on the Jazz Apple UK Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages
Participation is open to all individuals who have a private Facebook, Twitter and Instagram account and are resident at an address within the United Kingdom. Every individual may participate only once via a social media account.
Participants from the United Kingdom must be at least 18 years old.
2. And here is how it works
2.1 Users will have to purchase a special JAZZ Apple Nine Box from Asda store. They will then need to create their own picture (hereinafter ‘contribution’) where they show themselves and their JAZZ Apple box at home. The users will share their contribution using the hashtags #JazzAppleAsda #SlicerGiveaway on the JazzAppleUK Facebook, Twitter or Instagram page. The first 3,000 timed entries will receive a JAZZ Apple slicer in the post for free.
2.2 By uploading the contribution and using the hashtags #JazzAppleAsda #SlicerGiveaway, the participant accepts these terms and conditions.
3. Publication of user comments
3.1 By participating in the contest, users agree that their user name and current location may be made public on the JazzAppleUK Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
3.2 Jazz Apple will get in contact with all winners by 1 June 2018 in order to obtain a confirmation from the participant as to the participant’s first and last name, and full address.
3.3 Participants approve that contributions posted for the competition may be published via other Jazz Apple digital channels (such as websites, Instagram) and other publication media. Jazz Apple is therefore entitled to use, store and handle the contributions without limitation of place and content for a period limited to five years. Jazz Apple shall also be entitled to edit and adapt the material, in particular to shorten it and publish only extracts, and to use quotations as well as to adjust it for the appropriate medium.
3.4 Participants shall assure that the materials submitted (such as text, images, video) are free of third-party rights and that they have the rights in them, and also that there is no infringement of personal rights, in particular that persons who appear in the contribution have given their consent to appear and to have their images used. Additionally, the participants will assure that materials submitted are neither contrary to public policy nor to public decency, and in particular that other persons are not discriminated against or insulted, and that as well no radical, racist or offensive content is included. The participants will hold Jazz Apple harmless from any third-party claims which may be asserted in the context of the materials submitted due to the infringement of third-party rights, in particular rights of privacy or ancillary copyrights.
4. Prizes
4.1 One main prize will be given to the first 3,000 entries. The prize is a JAZZ Apple slicer.
4.2 The prizewinners will be informed by Jazz Apple in a private message and will be requested to get in touch with JazzAppleUK. In their reply, prizewinners shall indicate their first and last name, and full address to JazzAppleUK. Then each prizewinner will be informed of the next steps. Only prizewinners will be contacted via private message. Once the required information has been received the prize will be sent out to the prizewinner within 30 days. No confirmation of post
4.3 The following shall apply to all prizes: Cash refunding of the prize is not possible. The prize is not transferable.
4.4 The prizewinners agree that, after the award of the prize, their user name and residence may be published on the JazzAppleUK Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
4.5 If prizewinners do not respond to Jazz Apple within 7 days following notification, they will forfeit all rights in the prize, and another person will be designated as the winner based on the above mentioned criteria.
5. Privacy Policy
5.1 Data provided by participants will be electronically processed and stored securely by Jazz Apple for the duration of the competition for purposes of implementation and management of the competition. Participants approve this storage.
5.2 Any personal data stored shall be deleted after the completion of the competition.
5.3 Participants shall be entitled at any time to request information on the content that will be stored about them and may at any time request deletion of that data at jack@hungrycommunications.co.uk
6. Applicable law
UK law shall exclusively be applicable.
7. Miscellaneous
Jazz Apple reserves the right to cancel, suspend, amend and/or modify the contest, or any part of it. Jazz Apple may change the terms and conditions at any time without special notice.
