British JAZZ™ apples became the focus of attention once again at the National Fruit Show last month with the variety winning the ‘UK’s Tastiest Apple’ title. The latest award win we have now been victorious in the category in eight out of the latest ten years and are the most successful branded variety in the award’s history.
Established in 1933, the National Fruit Show is the largest competitive display of commercially grown UK Soft and Top Fruit. This year’s spectacular event was held at Kent County Showground with JAZZ™ apple growers John Bray, Simon Bray, David Figgis, Peter Chandler, Charlie Dunn, Richard Chandler, Robert Hinge and Chris Elworthy all in attendance.
The accolades not only helped us begin the season in award-winning style but also intertwined perfectly with our 20th anniversary celebrations, which begin last month with a birthday banquet at grower Robert Hinge’s orchard in Kent.
