A key part of the JAZZ™ Apple Foundation is to support and educate the next generation about the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle so when we are approached by a school asking for an award, we’re always extra thrilled and eager to help.
With that being said, we’re delighted to hand over a JAZZ™ Apple Foundation award to Whitgift School’s under 14 and 15 hockey team to help with the costs of their inspirational tour to South Africa. Not only will the boys play against other teams on the tour but they will also immerse themselves in the culture and history of the country. The aim of the tour is to inspire the boys to stay active and healthy through sport so we really couldn’t be more happy to help.
We weren’t done with the awards this month though as we heard on the apple tree about a great initiative at St Stephen’s Primary School in South Godstone village, Surrey, where pupils are rewarded for healthy choices at lunch with sports equipment. The ‘Healthy Eating Loyalty Card’ initiative was set up by the school council and has been a fantastic way of encouraging them to eat more greens and be more active. The JAZZ™ Apple Foundation is delighted to be able to help purchase some new sports equipment for the school such as hula hoops and skipping ropes so the scheme can be even better and draw in even more children.
