One of the main beliefs of the JAZZ Apple Foundation is that sport and physical exercise are vital for a healthy body, mind and soul so giving out an award to a rising sports star is always that extra bit special. Nineteen year old apprentice electrician Jordan Philpott was awarded a JAZZ Apple Foundation award in May to help with his costs of competing in various bowls tournaments around the UK and continues to flourish in the sport he has played since he was thirteen.
Most recently Jordan captained the Lincolnshire Under 25 team to the national finals after playing three competitive games against Yorkshire, Durham and Cumbria, and he will also be competing in the Under 25s singles competition which will take place at Leamingston Spa. After so many fantastic results Jordan was recognised for his contribution to the sport by being nominated for a Lincolnshire Sports award.
We wish Jordan all the best of luck for his future competitions and will be keeping our fingers crossed that he scoops the award too.
