JAZZ™ apple kicked off the British season in the best possible way by taking centre stage at the National Fruit Show, which was held at Kent County Showground on Wednesday 6th November.

JAZZ™ apple has a long history of success at the National Fruit Show, winning the UK’s Tastiest Apple award eight times over the last decade, and this year was no different with the brand scooping a number of awards.

Kent-based Chandler & Dunn was the star of the show, collecting seven prizes on the day for their JAZZ™ apples including NFU Prize for Best Exhibit in Show, Roderic Sarson Memorial Trophy for Best All Round Exhibit of Apples, Fuller Water Systems Trophy for Class 7 JAZZ™, Best Exhibit Class 7 JAZZ™, Stokes Bomford Rose Bowl for Best Exhibit of Dessert Apple, John Thwaites Bowl (Exhibitor gaining the highest points total for all exhibits in all classes grown in Kent), and the R Mitchell Challenge Cup (for the best exhibit of any dessert apple variety introduced to the UK after 2000). Chandler & Dunn’s award-winning JAZZ™ apples then made their way for a special tasting at Buckingham Palace.

Commenting on the triumph, Charlie Dunn, said:

“I’m delighted to have scooped seven awards on the day including Best Exhibit in Show but I can’t take all the credit as I have a fantastic team alongside me working hard all year round to ensure we produce the best apples for consumers. I love growing JAZZ™ apples as they have such a consistent taste, texture and colour, and along with their great storability, it makes them the best apple around in my opinion.”
