We’re thrilled to reveal that two new JAZZ™ Apple Foundation awards were handed out last month to two very deserving organisations – Linslade Crusaders Swimming Club and The Coventry Wheelchair Basketball Academy.
The Linslade Crusaders Swimming Club in Bedfordshire is a Swim England accredited club and caters for children of all ages. They were given an award to subsidise the cost of hiring an expert to support the training of their coaches and teachers to raise their awareness and skills in managing swimmers with SEND needs.
The Coventry Wheelchair Basketball Academy is a not-for-profit sports club whose focus is on providing wheelchair basketball training and development regardless of age, ability, gender, ethnic
background or religion. They were awarded a grant to purchase new equipment for their games and to help with the cost of live-streaming their matches to their fans.
One of the aims of the Foundation, when it was set up, was to help organisations and people who promote physical and mental health in young people through sport and both of these clubs are the epitomai of this. We can’t wait to watch their progress over the coming years and will keep you updated on how they get on through articles on our website and posts on our social media pages.
