We also enjoy providing the #jazzsensation<\/a> to others and are especially passionate about child nutrition and expanding their access to fresh fruits and vegetables of all kinds. So, when an opportunity arose to combine our active lifestyle with a personal passion and terrific cause, we were ALL IN.<\/p>\n

The Tour de Fresh<\/a> is a three-day charity cycling event that is organized and supported by the fresh produce industry and benefits the Salad Bars to Schools<\/em><\/a> initiative, providing salad bars to schools across the US. We were proud to be a premier sponsor and the official nutrition stop sponsor of this year\u2019s ride up the central coast of California in July. But our support didn\u2019t stop there.<\/p>\n

Two of this year\u2019s 50+ riders were JAZZ\u2122 enthusiasts, Karin G. and Chris F. from Oppy, a great partner in getting our apples into the supermarkets where you shop. Decked out in custom JAZZ\u2122 jerseys, the duo pedaled nearly 200 miles and climbed over 14,000 grueling feet to raise funds for two salad bars, one to be donated to the New England Public School<\/a> in New England, ND, which is not far from where Karin lives.<\/p>\n

In addition to supporting an amazing cause, the Tour also provides a unique opportunity for the fresh produce professionals who ride to network and build friendships with people from across the industry. Chris and Karin excitedly reported that they and their 50+ new friends were not only energized by the always refreshing, tangy crunch of JAZZ\u2122 apples throughout the Tour, but were also completely converted and loyal fans of JAZZ\u2122 \u2013 the apple AND the sensation!<\/p>\n

Tour de Fresh riders are still accepting donations through the end of August 2017, but have already raised over $165,000 which is enough to fund more than 50 salad bars.
