{"id":883,"date":"2017-10-30T13:57:55","date_gmt":"2017-10-30T13:57:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jazzapple.com\/uk\/?p=883"},"modified":"2017-10-30T13:57:55","modified_gmt":"2017-10-30T13:57:55","slug":"jazz-voted-uk-tastiest-national-fruit-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jazzapple.com\/uk\/jazz-voted-uk-tastiest-national-fruit-show\/","title":{"rendered":"JAZZ\u2122 Voted UK\u2019s Tastiest Apple at the National Fruit Show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With the coming UK season signifying the 10<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of British grown JAZZ\u2122 apples, Kent-based grower Peter Chandler has helped the special variety celebrate in style after his JAZZ\u2122 won the much-coveted \u2018Tastiest Apple\u2019 title at the National Fruit Show 2017\/2018.<br \/>\nTaking place on 25<sup>th<\/sup>\/26<sup>th<\/sup> October at the Kent Event Centre, the National Fruit Show is the biggest celebration of the UK\u2019s commercially grown top fruit and soft fruit with all the leading players and growers in attendance.<br \/>\nThe centrepiece of the show is the hotly-contested awards featuring 60 different categories showcasing the best of British fresh produce.<br \/>\n<a name=\"_GoBack\"><\/a> JAZZ\u2122 showcased why it\u2019s so popular when it comes to taste, flavour and crunch after scooping first and second prize in the \u2018Tastiest Apple\u2019 category. It\u2019s the third time in five years that JAZZ\u2122 has won the \u2018Tastiest Apple\u2019 award.<br \/>\nThis year, the first placed JAZZ\u2122 were grown by Peter Chandler and the team at Chandler and Dunn, who have been farming the East Kent landscape for over 200 years, and the JAZZ\u2122 grown by Simon Bray of Monks Farms in Kent picked up second place in the contest.<br \/>\nAs always we love to hear from our fans when they\u2019ve not only spotted their first JAZZ\u2122 of the season but also crunched down on one too so when you do get see your first then get in touch with us via our social media pages using the hashtag #JazzMoments.
