Collecting second place in the prestigious<br \/>\napple competition was JAZZ\u2122 grown by Chandler and Dunn, with Simon Bray picking up the third<br \/>\nprize.<br \/>\nClockhouse Farm is a 4th -generation family farm run by father and son duo Robert and Oliver Pascall.<br \/>\nOriginally a mixed farm growing hops, livestock and fruit which began in 1903, they are now farming<br \/>\napproximately 330 hectares to the South of Coxheath in Kent. They first planted JAZZ\u2122 in 2006 on<br \/>\nsouth-facing slopes with deep cut fertile soil and have a precision irrigation system in place to deliver<br \/>\nthe right level of moisture and nutrients for the trees. This year was the first time the farm had put<br \/>\nforward JAZZ\u2122 Apples into the competition at the National Fruit Show.<br \/>\nWinning the title means JAZZ\u2122 Apple retained its crown after triumphing last year and has now<br \/>\ncollected the \u2018UK\u2019s Tastiest Apple\u2019 title in five out of the last seven years.<br \/>\nNext up for JAZZ\u2122 Apple will be a visit to the NEC in Birmingham for the winter edition of the BBC<br \/>\nGood Food Show, where they will be sampling and selling to over 100,000 consumers over four days<br \/>\nfrom November 28th to December 1st. The event forms part JAZZ\u2122 Apple\u2019s key marketing activities,<br \/>\nwhich has also seen the brand recently collaborate with 14 food bloggers to create a free<br \/>\ndownloadable recipe book showcasing different and exciting ways to use JAZZ\u2122 in cooking.<br \/>\nGary Harrison, of Worldwide Fruit Ltd and the UK Commercial Manager for JAZZ\u2122 Apple,<br \/>\ncommented:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWinning the \u2018UK\u2019s Tastiest Apple\u2019 prize again is fantastic news for the brand and kickstarts the UK JAZZ\u2122 Apple season in the best possible way but it couldn\u2019t be achieved without the hard work of Robert, Oliver and their team who have produced some stunning apples over the summer.
